Not sure what to say?

Our most special and memories of skating are with Chuck and Elaine. What a legacy they have left. With remembrance, Gale and Tom

Lainie... I well remember your Mom and Dad ice dancing at the Skating Club with such grace. My condolences to you and your family... and may memories of your Dad stay close to your heart forever.

I remember Charles from my childhood. My dad was Ambrose Lanese, and I believe our family is related as cousins. I recall that everyone thought very highly of him. He's godfather to my close cousin, Barbara Lanese, and I know she had been in contact with him over the past few years. God bless your family in your loss. Our parents are with God now, too, so we sympathize with you. May God bless you with Peace and Comfort in your sorrow.

Lainie, Your Dad( and Mom) will never be forgotten by the skating world. I want to extend my families condolences in your time of sorrow. Pat just returned to Florida and I will let her know about your Dad. We will all meet again at the Ice Rink in the Heaven's above.

Dear Lainie,

In my many years of association with U.S. Figure Skating, one of the most rewarding experiences was knowing and interacting with Chuck. Our annual conversations over lunch at Governing Council, even if by telephone over the past few years when he was not able to attend, were a highlight for me. Chuck cared so much for the sport and thought deeply, and with great devotion and stewardship, about the affairs of USFSA. His impact on USFSA and his legacy within the sport...

I remember meeting "Uncle Chuck and Aunt Elaine" many times Tricia O'Donnell's annual Christmas party. My condolences to the entire family

When I think of USFSA, the first person that comes to my mind is your dad and your mom right behind him. It seems like they were at every competition I was at. Always with a big smile. He will be missed. May your memories be of wonderful times you shared with him.

What a tremendous contribution and great legacy Chuck left the sport of Figure Skating. He will forever be remembered.
Warmest Wishes, Tom and Gale Tanger

Chuck and your mom were mentors to me coming up the ladder of skating in the judging area. Both fit each other like a glove. I will have memories that will last. best, joe inman
