Charles Joseph "Chuck" DiCorte M.D.

Chuck was may Chief Resident when I was an intern. He was one of the kindest surgeons I will ever know. He will be greatly missed.

God sent me a miracle when Dr.DiCorte did my bypass surgery. He was gifted by God to save lives. A wonderful, kind man of God. See you in Heaven. Sandra Bonner 12/21/2016 Miracle day.

I got to know Chuck first through the Ochsner Alumni Association and local meetings. He was a warm hearted person, and friendly face in the community. He was honored today at the 70th Southern Thoracic Surgeons Association meeting and will be sorely missed.

Prayers for comfort to the family. Dr.Dicorte was a wonderful heart surgeon. Dr. Decorte did my open heart surgery in April of 2006.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. DiCorte. In 2021 he repaired my mitral valve and while doing so found a hole in my heart (evidently from birth) which he also repaired. My surgery lasted 8+ hours mainly because of the hole which I apologized to him for afterwards, but grateful he found. I jokingly asked him later if he took a lunch break. He just laughed and smiled. Dr Dicorte did a CABGX3 on me 8/9/2023 after a heart attack. He was a talented, caring surgeon. His smile lit up a room. He will forever be remembered. It´s been a year and I am doing incredibly well. My deepest condolences to the family.

sorry hear about Chuck's passing. i ate lunch with him and other 1st/2nd year LSUMC-NO classmates daily while watching All my Children soap opera. and the occaisional trip to Cal's on Tulane Ave for red beans on Mondays. God bless.
