Always the gentleman - Standing so ladies and the elderly could sit, and even telling children to stand. He always held the door open for the next person and always smiled and said hello to those he didn’t know. He even took a thump when he was standing up to a man who was hurling abuse at a shop assistant.

Thirst for knowledge - Dad always wanted to learn new things and was forever setting himself new...
