Not sure what to say?

I served under Major Dominy on Firebase Nancy in Vietnam in 1969-1970. The CO, LTC Drake Wilson was another West Pointer who also rose to General. I knew at the time I was serving under great men and was able to have a lot of laughs with Major Dominy as it was not all war, all the time. I was still emailing with him through 2010. We never saluted over there but I will salute you now.

Chuck (as he insisted I address him) was My CO in Germany -1965. Captain Dominy was a tremendously positive influence on my life. I later encountered him for a brief moment during my tour in Viet Nam. He invited me to his quarters, served me a lite meal, and we chatted for a while. 2010 I had the opportunity to speak with him on the phone. As I was re-introducing my self, He recalled the time in Viet Nam, where I was coming from, and where I was going. Later that year While in Boston, I had...

Mary and Family - I was very saddened to hear about Chuck´s passing. I am very fortunate to have worked with him and will remember him as a kind, caring, compassionate and giving person. I am grateful and blessed to have known him. I send my deepest condolences to you and your family!

Chuck was my boss on the USAREUR staff in Heidelberg Germany in 1979-80. I was a major, he a Lt. COL. He was by far the best boss I had in my 26 year Army career. I remember well how great he and I were as the SS-2B double play duo on our DCSENGR softball team in 1980. Chuck and Mary´s son David was a great friend to our son Eric in those days. Ten years later when Chuck was a two star he dropped in on us in our quarters at West Point . We enjoyed some manhattans together like it was...

Mary Dell and family- I was greatly saddened to hear about Chuck´s passing. He was an amazing person and left this earth a better place because of his lifelong contributions, his humor and guidance. I remember him mostly as a natural leader, a brilliant student and storyteller and one of the kindest human beings I ever knew. I wish I had kept in touch with him throughout life, but whenever I thought of him it was with great fondness. My heartfelt condolences and love go to you as you go...

Mary Dell and entire family- I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Chuck´s passing. He was an amazing person and certainly fulfilled the potential I and all of our childhood friends knew he had. I remember so well his humor, imagination, brilliance and mostly his kindness. Wish I had kept in touch throughout the years, but he was one of those special human beings I always remembered with great fondness. I send my deepest condolences and prayers to you at this difficult time. Deredith

Mary Dell and family. My love is with you at this difficult time. I have many fun memories of Charles but my favorite is his story telling in elementary school. Instead of the teacher reading to us after lunch, he would stand before us and tell tales! Such fun he was. I admired him very much.
