Charles was a really wonderful guy. Only because of Charles did I join the Boy Scouts during our Jr. High School years so I could spend more time with him and his smart, quiet, dry wit. To all his loved ones, my deepest condolences.

If this is the Mr. Duryea who taught at Jensen Beach Elementary in the 1970's, then know that he was the "cool" teacher everyone wanted to have. My sister Eileen had him as a teacher in 3rd grade and she and her friends loved Mr. Duryea! I recognized the name right away, he left a lasting impression. I am sorry for the family's loss. Thank you Mr. Duryea for being a teacher. You were loved!
