Not sure what to say?

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Charles E. Ridgley US Army Captain.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by...

To the family and friends of Capt. Charles E. Ridgley:
Charles gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not let our fallen heroes be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you. "Some gave all."

I am deeply saddened by the loss of this Soldier and my brother in arms. Ridge (as we called him) and I served as NCOs together back in 97 at Ft. Jackson, SC. All I can say at this time is that the Army lost a real man that was a fighter and a true warrior; he really knew what it meant to hang in there "no matter what." To the Ridgley family,

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Charles will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know...

A Sunset for You

You were my television buddy for 8 months on Gamberi. You were my sounding board for how to handle two teen-aged girls. You were my career counselor. You were my friend and heart. You introduced me to beautiful sunsets in the desert and to star filled nights. Although I can no longer hear your laugh I know it is there in my heart and one day I will hear it again when noone else can. You are the father that only you could be and will never be replaced. I know you have given the angels and...

Chuck,
I will forever remember the times that you and I endured for being the two oldest brothers with the most time in the Army while at OBC. You sacrificed your time and your family by prolonging your career as an Officer. You did the Service proud with your continuation in the Military. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten.

Hey bro…words can’t describe how disheartened I am about this tragic news. It seems like yesterday we were in OBC, and now you’re gone. I pray for your daughter and your extended family. I know you’re in good hands right now, just wish it didn’t happen. May you rest in peace...
