I was very sorry to hear about Chuck's passing. Chuck was my neighbor in West St. Paul. We went to Grass Middle School & Sibley High together (mid 70's). My brother, John, Dave Douglas, Chuck and his brother Bob used to play football, hockey & fish all the time. His family always had an open door policy to us neighborhood kid's. I consider myself very fortunate to have met and been befriended by Chuck over the past 25+ years, after meeting him and best buddy Dave through my co-worker brother Bob. I grew to know Chuck as a kind-hearted tease with a great sense of humor and generous in sharing of time, money, possessions, and other friends. My two sons, Gabriel and Aidan also came to know him as such through his fun loving fireworks contributions at friend Doug's July 4th birthday celebrations. Sharing other fun...

I would often visit my cousins David, Kris and Dee Dee in the summertimes. I think David and Chuck were about 19, and Dee Dee and I were 14. We were in the bathroom curling our hair and he passed by and stop to say hello (so kind of him) a nineteen year old, saying hey to 2 little girls. So we started teasing him and ask him if he wanted his hair curled (or it could have been the other way). His hair was about shoulder length (the 70's) and he actually was so kind to let us actually curl...

Chuck was the dear godfather of my son Geoffrey. A very special man, he took his responsibility of godfather in a very serious and loving manner. He was an exceptional and extraordinary person whom I'm indebted to for the care and love he extended so freely. I am glad to have known Chuck! To his family I wish to offer my heartfelt condolences.

Chuck was one of the kindest people. When he asked "how are you" he honestly meant it. I will miss him and his great laugh.

Chuck was trly on of the good guys. He will be missed.

I met Chuck many years ago at Inver Hills Comm College, and in the middle of all that insanity, he was the one person who seemed to really have it all under control. I admired that quality about him and will never forget him. Chuck and his family are in my prayers.

May he rest in peace, he was a great guy.

I was fortunate to have met Chuck in college and kept in contact through the years. We had many great times in the past. The "Large Type" house at Stout, hockey and snowmobiling up north to name a few. He was a great person and he will be missed.
