May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to have heard this news mid summer 2023. Floyd and I first met at 13WAVZ, he was a weekday DJ, I was 17 yr old "Ron The Booty Man" as other station DJs allowed me to give away prizes (booty) on the street as a friend of the station. Floyd was one of my favorite DJs with his incredible voice, witty, off the cuff humor live on air, WAVZ, WKCI, WDRC, WWYZ. Truly a distinguished, notable, illustrious...and hilarious Radio DJ. None other than "Mr. Fun, Friendly Floyd". Condolences to the...

Back in the earliest days of Radio Broadcasting, when the music came from 45s and 33s and the control board was crafted from stone, I had the great fortune of handing off the Broadcast day to Friendly Floyd each weekday morning on WHEB AM-FM in Portsmouth, NH. It was a genuine thrill to banter with him off the air, and then to listen to his fabulous morning show as I went home to have breakfast.

My career took me to Washington, DC eventually, but I always followed Floyd's path...

Was a devoted listener of WJMJ radio, and loved listening to his time on the afternoon ride home; Praying for his family at this difficult time. You were one of the best; will miss you, my friend.

Susie, Just found out your Floyd had passed away. I'm so sadden, my heart goes out to you and the family for your loss. My prayers are for you in this time of sorrow. Be strong and the golf family will help you get through these sad days. God bless and we will have to have a toast to honor your radio Floyd.

We of the WJMJ 'family' are absolutely heartbroken over the loss of our beloved DJ and trivia master 'Friendly Floyd,' who gave us so much joy and fun weekday afternoons over the WJMJ airwaves! We miss you and love you! God bless ya...and don't give them easy trivia questions up in Heaven, LOL! RIP forever, sincere condolences to all the families. Tommy V. (of Watertown), on behalf of all us 'TV Trivia Teaser' and 'Notable Quotable' responders (even though we Google 'cheated' a lot) who are...

I’m so sorry Susan for your loss I enjoyed working with him at WWYZ and his absence will be felt by many

Enjoyed you hosting radio so unique! Very sad on your passing RIP you'll be missed prayers for family Amen ❤

With a quirky sense of humor and a sarcastic take on life, Floyd never failed to make me laugh. I've known Floyd since his first stint at WDRC. Great guy and just a lot of fun to work with. He ALWAYS asked about my daughter, and my son got to work with him - in fact, Floyd bought my son a Hartford Yard Goats hat. I'll miss our chats while I was checking the WJMJ control system and EAS system. Rest in peace, my friend. Heaven is a better place because of you.
