Charles Fehr

I did not know Steve. I came across this obituary today while searching for an article I wrote as a Washington Post reporter in 1994 about a plane crash near Pittsburgh. My father's name was Charles Fehr. I am Stephen Charles Fehr. My son is Matthew Stephen Fehr. I am an Eagle Scout. I could not help but notice the coincidence and offer my sincere condolences.

I had so much respect for Steve this all just makes me so sad. I just think so much about you and hope you feel better soon due to your own injuries.

I only knew Steve for a short time. Our office is in the same building down the hall. He was a very nice fellow and always spoke to me. Wish I could have known him better. I pray for the family during this time of loss. May God Bless!

Steve was my boss. I'm a geologist and worked with Steve to find "the big one" we all know is underlying the beautiful mountains and canyons comprising the mineral property Steve's father assembled and left to Steve to shepherd into something fruitful and productive.
