HAPPY 61ST BIRTHDAY, DADDY!
MOM AND I MISS YOU DEARLY!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO THE BEST FATHER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

I called Jo the other night and talked to her for few minutes. That's what you'd want me to do and it was in my heart to do it because I know she's suffering as well. I didn't tell mom at first but I did because I don't want any secrets between us. We went by your grave today. The cemetery was packed! I never realized how many people are missing their fathers until today. It may not be their first Father's Day without...

Mom and Charlie at 3 Months - April 2997

HAPPY EASTER, DADDY!
This is the first holiday without you and it's sad just as any other day. But, you brought us Charlie Junior and he has brought so much joy and laughter in to our house. Without him there wouldn't be any reason for us to wake up in the morning or to laugh. He makes us laugh and he wakes us up early in the morning because he's hungry. His like you in many ways; daddy. We don't realize how much we miss you because we have to take care of him. He's still a little...

Hi Daddy!
Rob Johnson called tonight. You know his dad passed away the same week. I hope you guys met up with eachother in Heaven. Rob is a very sweet guy, daddy. He said you used to ridicule him all the time but you were like a second dad to him. It was a rough week for him. But, he sounded good on the phone. I'll see you Saturday daddy! I miss you and love you wholeheartedly.

Charlie, you were a mail order customer starting many years ago, collecting military patches and insignia, but over the years you became a friend first, sharing interests and knowledge. You were a very special Ranger, husband and father.
You were there with support when I had cancer surgery and never once mentioned your own equally serious health problems.
I am honored to have known you and call you my friend.
Aloha,

Charles and myself are alot alike, both private old soldiers, like our privacy and family. he was a great comfort while sharing a hospital room at memorial hospital, and I was very happy to see him, while I was working at Fort Dix as a Police Supervisor, since then I've retired. God Bless you and your Family.

Daddy in 2006 at Hamilton Train Station

Daddy, remember this picture?
I took it in the Hamilton Train Station one weekend with my cell phone. You hate posing for pictures but you managed that day. We went to see your grave today. We almost didn't find it because they had installed some tanks or something right in front of your grave and we didn't recognize the location. Mom was calling out your name and I was worried that they had moved you without notifying us. It was sort of silly, I know but you know how I am. Silly...

SUCH A WONDERFUL BLESSING TO HAVE A FATHER SUCH AS CHARLIE, AND I FEEL SO MUCH LOVE IN THIS FAMILY. MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU ALL. GOD BLESS YOU ALL
