Marie,
I had the honor and privledge of knowing Tommy during my wife's illness five years ago. Never in my life have I seen such dedication. Dr Fitts spent 65 days in the SICU unit with her without a day off. His gruff exterior hid a heart of gold. I cannot tell you how many nights he was there for her. I am a lucky person for knowing him and learned many life's lessons talking with him during the wee hours of the morning. I will truly miss him, he was one of a kind.
