Not sure what to say?

I have many fond memories of Charlie, Kennedy and Stuart, as well as their mother, connecting back to Hilton Village and Brandon Heights. What a wonderful family! The times there were special, made even more so by the Forbes family.

Sweet Pat and family, Missy and I send our love to you all. How lucky were we, as a young married couple, to have you and Charlie be such a big part of our daily lives through fund raising and development for the German Club and VT, and the hours sharing the kitchen with you at the Manor, catering events. It was extra special for me of course because Charlie was also from the Tidewater of Virginia and a classmate and fellow German Club man with my dad. We miss seeing you and hope for you all...

News just reached me last night about the passing of your dear Charles. I am so sorry to hear that this kind and wonderful man has left us all, but I know he will live on through the wonderful life and extraordinary talents he shared with so very many through the years and in so many far-reaching ways. I know that my Mom and Dad will welcome him to Heaven with open arms and I can just imagine the meal they might be having now as they join with the other German Club, Corps of Cadets and...

My sincere condolences for the loss of your beloved Charles. Life seems to fly by all too quickly. How loving God is to console us with his promise of eternal life.~John 3:16
May you continue to find comfort in His Word, your family and friends.

My uncle was one of the greatest men I have ever known. He has been a wonderful role model for many people.

So sorry to read about the passing of Charlie Forbes. Although our paths had not crossed in recent years, Charlie and I came to know each other shortly upon his arrival at the U of Delaware, where David Roselle brought him in to modernize the UD's Development function. Charlie and I "broke bread" together a number of times, and I thought he was a wonderful person. Our condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences on the loss of Charlie whom I knew through his Newport News and Va. Tech families. His was a life well-lived and his legacy beneficial to us all.
