Charles William Foster, 63, of Marion, Va., passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010, at the Grayson Nursing Home in Independence, Va. Mr. Foster was born in Smyth County to the late James Lacy Foster and Virginia Lucille Harris Foster and was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Foster. He attended the Southwest Business College and graduated from Wytheville Community College. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and was past master at the Wytheville Masonic Lodge #82 AF & AM. Survivors include his wife, Linda Tilson Foster; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles William Foster Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, Wytheville; one daughter, Angela Christine Foster, Wytheville; one stepson, Randall Johnson and wife, Karen, Bedford; one brother, Eddie Foster and wife, Debbie, Marion; one sister, Linda Storie and husband, Eric, Marion; grandchildren, Aaron Foster, Robert Foster, Allie Foster; mother-in-law, Margaret Tilson, Chilhowie; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Dr. Jack Garland officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, Va. 22038-1132. I KNEW BILL FROM THE MASONIC LODGE IN WYTHEVILLE . HE HAD LOTS OF PATIENCE . AND TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT MASONARY . HE WAS A GREAT FRIEND AND A GREAT PERSON . I HAVENT SEEN HIM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND I DIDNT KNOW HE WAS SICK . MY HEART IS WITH HIS FAMILY .
