Hey Grandaddy, I will be back in Akron in less then a week and I was making plans to come and hang out at the house with you and Grandmother, when the reality of you being gone hit me. I don't have any words that even come close to how much I miss you, and I know if I miss you this much, what is Grandmother going through? I hope you've learned to fly by now, I'm sure it didn't take that long, although you may still be running. I love and miss you Grandad!!!

I heard about Charlie passing after the funeral services, so I us unable to attend. My dog, Mystic, and I loved him and enjoyed our time in his garden and long talks on the front porch. Friendship meant more to him than anything else. This friend will miss him very much.

What can you say about a person as amazing as Grandaddy. No one could tell a better story or serve up more food (even if it was groundhog.) He was a great man and we are all better people for having known him. Amanda Schmidt

My name is Crystal Franklin. I am Charles Franklin's grandaughter. I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has signed the guestbook for all the wonderful words being said about Grandaddy. He was truly a man of God and will be missed dearly, but we all know and rejoice in the fact that he is in Heaven praising God. I also want to take a moment and thank everyone who helped our family through this rough time in life. We are very blessed with many many many caring friends who...
