I remember the Friersons since the days of the "Piney Woods" that they graciously allowed the neighborhood kids to play in during the 1960's. Whether Mr. Frierson actually liked us kids turning his property into a adventurous playground or not, he was always considerate enough to allow it. As well, he extended his kindness and friendship toward everyone in our family throughout the years. I'll always remember him in this manner and be thankful for his friendship with us. I was saddened to read about Charles. He was a Southern gentleman and I always enjoyed our conversations. We need more men like Charles Frierson. I know he will be missed by his family and community.
