Not sure what to say?

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Garvey. I've known the family for over 40 years. I was just informed today and unfortunately unable to attend the service. Chuck would drive by my house either going to work or coming home and stop to visit if I was out working in my vegetable garden. He always remarked how good everything looked even when it did not. He was a good man and will be missed.

I only had the opportunity to meet Grandpa Chuck' 2 or 3 times. He treated Mark as his own grandson and Mark loved and respected him.

What a blessing to get to know such an incredible god-loving family man thru Marcie, Annie, Gretchen, Lisa, Brittany and Ricky since the Barros/Sambrano family we're joined 06/2013. So happy that he was able to enjoy seeing Penny for 2 1/2 years
His light and love will live on thru all of his family and friends.

CJ and family, condolences and prayers for you and yours

We are deeply saddened by your loss, our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. It's been many years since I've seen Mr. Garvey but I would like to share a memory from over three decades ago. My wife Jean and I had recently purchased our first home in a small town north of Austin named Pflugerville. We had been working very hard to get a yard started but were not having much luck. Mr. Garvey was in Austin with CJ who was one of my best friends. Being a proud new home owner I asked...

It was an honor to care for Mr. Garvey, he was always a bright spot in my day. My favorite memory with him was going into his room, he was wide awake, I asked him if he was hungry and he told me he wanted this box of chocolates sitting on his bedside table. I opened them and we ate the entire box in about 5 minutes. The look on his face while we were shoveling them in was priceless! He kept nodding for me to eat more and who was I to say no. Mrs. Garvey, I will miss seeing you everyday. You...

My thoughts go to out to Mrs. Garvey and all the family. Mr. Garvey was instrumental in my life since I was about 14 years old. My dad worked for him and I later came to proudly work for the C.J. Garvey Company myself 21 years ago. Mr. Garvey was a mentor to me, a friend, and someone I enjoyed being around. I always looked up to him as the smartest & best salesman I have ever met. I learned a lot from him and he was always willing to help me. We had fun times as Mr. Garvey taught me to...

Dear Lisa and Family, our deepest sympathy and prayers for you and your family during this time of sorrow, may God bless you and bring peace to the family, James and Teresa Barlow

A smile that would light up a room! He had such a talent for making people feel welcomed and special. Even in his final days, he had visitors stopping by to say hello that were friends made during his time at the VA. We are so lucky to call him ours.
