Not sure what to say?

I often think of Asa & think fondly of our times together. His decision to go with Locust Fork was at a crossroads in life for both of us. I believe it was '74 & Asa wanted to go fulltime & the other members of our band couldn't do that. We talked about it seriously & it was a tough choice. It was surely a formative time in all our lives. The band at that time had potential & it'd sure have been fun to try a full- time venture with Asa, we were one of few bands around that incorporated our...

I'd like to share this photo of the band Asa & I were in during 1969-70. We had good times together & were all going to school & doing this on the weekends mostly. Asa was a joy to play with & a good drummer. You will have no trouble spotting Asa but he has white pants on. This was after a dance in Huntsville in a big Hotel as I recall. Tommy Stuart

I am so sorry for your loss. You and all the family will be in prayers. Call if you need anything at all. Love always, Dianne guyton

I am saddened to hear of Asa's passing, he was a good friend & band mate. We were in school at the same time, playing music on the weekends to help get through school. I remember when he joined Locust Fork, he wanted to go full time & the band as we were couldn't do that. He was a great guy & I can still hear his distinctive voice. God Bless his family & I know he must have led a full & wonderful life. Large & in charge sounds like him. He will be missed. Tommy Stuart

I am so sorry. I know how overwhelming this is. My husband died 15 years ago. I miss him every day. If you ever want to talk call me Sara Gryder Ward. 205-902-8076. Love you

Jenny Lynn I am so sorry about Asa. I know how you feel, my husband Rick died 15 years ago from pancreatic cancer. I miss him everyday, call if you need to talk 205-902-8076. I´m praying for you.

What a wonderful life he lived and such a special tribute. I remember Asa being my father´s coworker (15+ years) and dear friend. He was apart of many stories of his Compass days. I am so thankful for the friendship he shared with my father. I´m so sorry for your loss.

Asa and Jenny were friends with so many Hoover Country Club. Asa will be missed but fond memories remain. May his memory comfort his family and Jenny.

I am heartbroken! Asa and I enjoyed a wonderful early recovery journey together. After I moved away, I would occasionally visit Serenity Now and Asa would always introduce me as a member of his "pledge class". My heartfelt condolences to the entire family, especially Jenny whom I had the pleasure of knowing. Asa has left a legacy of selfless love for countless AA members.
