Charlie was a man of honor, respect and of his word. I had the privilege of working with him at the Tennessee D.O.T. He was my immediate supervisor and would ask nothing of his crew that he himself would not do. I enjoyed going to work since Charlie provided a great work environment. But more importantly, Charlie was a good personal friend, as well as a brother in Christ and though miles separated us, we remained close and thoroughly enjoyed sharing on the phone.
