On behalf of the Salzburg Global Seminar I want to express or sorrow on learning of Chuck's death. I also want to express our appreciation for his support of the Seminar over many years as a Board member and a marshaler of funds. He contributed as recently s last year. From everyone at the Quebec-Labrador Foundation, I extend our deepest sympathy to Chuck's family. He was our "favorite tenant" and our good friend. We shared a common world view. We will miss him.

Chuck wrote some wonderful plays and songs for the Tavern Club; he was a valued member who will be missed.

He found me a job, he was always a gracious host, he took me to lunch many times, he listened, he enriched my life. He told me it's the details, the little things in life that matter.
