New Orleans, LA—Dr. Charles H. Geyer, 70, died November 12, 2009 in New Orleans, LA after several months’ illness. He was born October 8, 1939 in Amory to the late Charles Henry and Irene Williams Geyer. He was a 1957 graduate of Amory High School, a graduate of the University of Missississippi, and a graduate of the Loyola University School of Dentistry. He married Linda Conte in 1975 who survives. A long-time resident of New Orleans, he was a self-employed dentist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was Catholic and was an avid spectator of the New Orleans Saints, Ole Miss Rebels, and the Yankees.

A mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at the St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Amory. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Geyer of New Orleans; one daughter, Erin Geyer-Gilman (Billy) of New Orleans; and one grandchild, Liam Gilman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Billy Gilman, Dr. Robert Conte, David Hodo, and David Banks.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
