Corridan Funeral Home - Chicopee Obituary

Charles S. Gibson Jr.

December 8, 1943 to October 4, 2022

We celebrate the life of Charlie Gibson.

Charlie passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by family. Charlie was a kind and gentle man. He loved to make people laugh. He derived great pleasure from nature, hiking, biking and was an avid swimmer throughout his life. He took delight in trips to the Cape and spending time with family and friends.  Charlie’s careers included economist, teamster and registered nurse. However, the one that brought him the most joy was as a research nurse for Baystate Medical Center where he met his wife Anne and after many years retired.  Charlie leaves behind his wife Anne, his daughter Shelley, step daughter Shannon, his sister Annemarie, niece Shawn and nephew Rick.  Charlie is and always will be greatly missed! We love you! See you in Heaven! Hip-Hip!

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, beginning at 9:00am at Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, with a Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Anne’s Church, 30 College St., Chicopee.  Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, October 11, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.  To leave your condolences or to share a memory with the family, please visit www.CorridanFuneral.com
