Charles Goins Obituary
Charles "Wayne" Goins, 89, died Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Wayne will lie in state Tuesday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Boulevard. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City Boulevard, with Pastor Robert Brown officiating.
Wayne was born January 19, 1933, in Surry County, North Carolina, son of the late Grover Samuel and Lois Kate Goins. He started his career at an early age in the wholesale automotive business. In 1973, he founded BMW Auto Supply, Inc. He served as president of the company until his retirement in 1996. His hobby was in real estate, which he enjoyed until his death. Mr. Goins was a longtime member of Dillon Road Baptist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #76, Greensboro, NC for over 50 years. His life was devoted to caring for his daughter Susan, ensuring she would have anything she needed.
Mr. Goins is survived by his daughter, Susan W. Goins; his former wife and best friend, Bernice Goins; brother, Donald Goins and wife, Delories; nephew, Donald Goins, Jr.; niece, Jill Simmons; two grand nephews and three great grand nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Wayne's memory to Dillon Road Baptist Church, Building Fund, 3136 Dillon Road, Jamestown, NC 27282 or to the charity of one's choice.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Wayne. I met him before I maws a teenager and had the utmost respect for him. I had business dealings with him over the years and could never ask anyone better to work with. I never in over 60 years ever heard nothing but great words spoken of him. He will be missed dearly

I think more people loved Wayne than he even knew. he was a sweet and kind man. In being honest I was not around him as much as I could have been. my excuse is busy with daily life. My brother, Mike Martin, my cousin Linda Gill and myself went to see Wayne a couple of weeks ago. He was so thrilled that we came to see him but what he didn't know was that I was just as thrilled.
Goodbye sweet Uncle until we meet again in Heaven.
