Charles Goldstein was definitely a force in his time.
He had extraordinary taste and flair.
I met him when I interviewed for a sales position at The 24 Collection in Bal Harbour and we definitely hit it off. I loved working there for a time and obviously left my paycheck at the door as I spent my earnings on so many beautiful pieces .
G-d Bless his Soul and I am sure he is dressing so many Angels in Couture.

I remember Charles Goldstein in the early 1970s when he owned UID Electronics in Hollywood. They made switches for the electronics industry. I remember his silver Avanti car. He was a gentleman to work for.

Hard to believe it has been 6 years since Charlie's passing. Sad to note that Leon Charles Goldstein passed away earlier this year. His name "Charles" as his middle name was also for the same person Charlie Goldstein was named for, my great-grandfather. Regards to Patrick Goldstein!

I never got to see him enough due to where we lived, but do have pleasant memories of being with his son Patrick at Carolina Basketball school in 1965, and when Patrick dropped by my house in Atlanta in the early 70's and felt that the only decent record in my collection was Alice Cooper's "Love It to Death". Should have know then where Patrick was heading.

Charlie and I were high school classmates in 1940's at Druid Hills in Atlanta and had so many memorable experiences. I heard of his death from Sam Massell last week and want Elaine to know how much we will miss him.

Dearest Elaine,
I've only just read of the passing of your beloved Charles...my very deepest condolences to you and your family. It seems like yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Charles at his divine store, The 24 Collection, although it was so many years ago- back in the 70's. He was most definitely one of the premier luxury retailers in the country and responsible for introducing the best (then unknown) Italian, French & other designers to his clientele. His vision was unsurpassed and so many European designers owe their success to him.
I'm happy I had the opportunity to see you and Charles "a few years ago".
May all the beautiful memories of wonderful years together provide you comfort at this tragic time and may Charles rest in eternal peace.
Sincerely,
Judith Agisim

We went to Carolina Basketball School together in 1965 and I want to share some memories with him about his Dad. My mother is Betty Ann Shusterman and my uncle is Leon Goldstein. I can be reached at 404-936-1649

Dear Elaine,
I am so sorry for your loss. Not only was Charlie a friend and client of Dick's, but he was our daughter Liz's first employer at 24 Collection--one of those summer jobs that enhanced her fashion merchandising education. She has her own PR firm in Atlanta, but never forgot the wonderful experience of working for him.

Elaine and my cousins,
I was really saddened to learn of Charlie's death. Even though we saw each other infrequently after I went to Harvard he was always gracious and concerned with my welfare. We never failed to have meaningful discussions. It was at Collection 24 where he met Aaron and they instantly were drawn to each other. One memory I cherish about Charlie is the way he treated "Aunt Ida". I know how fond my Mother was of Charlie and I am sure he was her favorite nephew. My thoughts are with all of you.
