Not sure what to say?

In 1958 I was 8 years old. Fr. Charles Gonet who just arrived at Sacred Heart Church in Timmins Ontario was very kind to me during the worst day of my life. My father died that day and he came to tell me the bad news. I always cherished his kindness

I want to reiterate my brother's words. Father Charles was a wonderful man, who was a big part of our faith community and our family. The Stigmatine priests were an important part of the Italian Catholic community in Timmins for a lot of years. They, to a man, were excellent examples of what a priest should be. I am sure he will rest in peace.

Lovingly remembered as a most devoted priest to all his parishioners and especially by those of us who were teenagers at the time he was with us in Timmins Ontario , Canada. Sincere condolences to the Gonet families. RIP Father Charles.

I am 64 and Fr. Charles was our priest at Sacred Heart in Timmins Ontario when I was a kid. To me he is still the epitome of what a priest should be. My uncle named my cousin after him. Wonderful man and for a time, part of our family. My mother died last week. She'll be happy to see him again

We just heard news of Fr. Charles' death. On behalf of the parishioners of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish (Timmins, Onatrio, Canada) we extend our deepest sympathies & prayers to Fr. Charles' family & brother priests. Many of our older parishioners have fond memories of him during his years of ministry here. Though I never met him, after my ordination he reached out to me to congratulate me and we continued to stay in touch over the years by letter and phone. May he now rest in peace....

This is a wonderful picture of Father Gonet. With his HUGE smile that takes up his whole face!
Father Gonet was a loving and humble priest. His faith was truly inspiring to all of us as Pastor of St. Catherine's. Dear Father Charles, thank you so much for the love that you gave to our family. And now, again you will be with my father, Joseph Niziolek. Rest well now until we are all together again!

Fr Gonet was a great friend to my family for over 40 + years . A very close friend to my mother Annie Granger whom did the crocheting of Fr Gonet,'s vestments. He was devoted to everyone and was our choice to marry myself and my wife. The Christmas cards and prayers given to us ment a lot to us. God Bless the Gonet family on their loss of this great man. Mike and Kathy Granger. Agawam Ma.

Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Fr. Gonet' s Family. My family and I thought the world of Father as he was so kind and such a loving person and outstanding priest. He took great interest in our life happenings especially with the birth of our son. We will miss Father Gonet greatly and his annual Christmas cards with his spiritual materials always included. He will always be our favorite priest .

May He Rest In Peace and in the lovely arms of Jesus .
