Father Gonet is missed but never forgotten. We, my spouse and I, remember him daily in our prayers and will do so for the remainder of our days. I was fortunate to know Father most of my life. Father Charles, after leaving us a year ago, continues to remain in our thoughts and our hearts.
He was a great man and disciple of God. We were blessed to have him as a friend.

In 1958 I was 8 years old. Fr. Charles Gonet who just arrived at Sacred Heart Church in Timmins Ontario was very kind to me during the worst day of my life. My father died that day and he came to tell me the bad news. I always cherished his kindness

I want to reiterate my brother's words. Father Charles was a wonderful man, who was a big part of our faith community and our family. The Stigmatine priests were an important part of the Italian Catholic community in Timmins for a lot of years. They, to a man, were excellent examples of what a priest should be. I am sure he will rest in peace.

Lovingly remembered as a most devoted priest to all his parishioners and especially by those of us who were teenagers at the time he was with us in Timmins Ontario , Canada. Sincere condolences to the Gonet families. RIP Father Charles.
