Charles T. Grundy HANAHAN - Charles T. Grundy, age 74 of Hanahan, SC passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014. Charles' successful career in sales included 25 years at IBM where he rose to the executive level as VP of Sales. He was a member of the Charleston Metropolitan Church of Christ. A memorial service will be held at the Charleston Plaza Hotel, 4770 Goer Drive, North Charleston, SC on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Charles is survived by his wife, Jennye; children, Charles Michael (Mellissa), Annette, Robert and Christopher Todd Grundy; grandchildren, Robert Briton and Keahn Michael; his brothers, Philip (Christine), George (Beatrice) and Michael (Marina) Grundy. I just found out about the passing of Bro. Grundy. While I was stationed in Charleston, I met Bro Grundy and his wife at Azalea Drive Church of Christ. He was a great man and always had a kind word to give. I can still remember that laugh of his. lol My condolences to Sister Grundy and the rest of the family. RIP Bro!

Charles was best man at my wedding 44 years ago.We lost touch over the years,but he was a great friend and Carrie and I loved him and Jenny.He will be missed by many.May God Bless the Grundy family during this time of sorrow.

I am just learning of the passing of Charles. My heartfelt condolences to Jennye and the entire Grundy family. Not only were the Grundy boys a part of my youth at home in South Bend, Charles was a major financial contributor and believed in what became my successful bid for the Georgia Senate. I pray God's strength and comfort to the family. Absent the body is indeed present with the Lord.
