Not sure what to say?

Will always hold dear my memories of Chuck at James Wood, VMI and a hot summer job between semesters.

It's hard to believe that it's 3 years since Chuck's passing. I think of him often and fondly. The true measure of a man (or woman) is the impact that they have on the people that they touch as they pass through life. Chuck touched so many in a positive way. I am proud that he was my friend and still count him and that friendship as a blessing from God. Rest well my friend.

It was good to receive a reminder on this 3nd anniversary of Chuck's passing. Although I knew Chuck was interred in Lexington, I seem to forget that fact when I visit the Institute. It seems I don't get to Lexington as often as in years past or as I would like, but on my next trip to the Valley, I will try to visit Stonewall Jackson Cemetery and pay my respects at Chuck's grave. He will always be my team mate and friend.

I am so sorry to learn of Chuck's passing. We were classmates in both high school and at VMI. I will always have fond memories of him. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

A light extinguished much too soon. . . . I am very sorry to learn of Chuck's passing. Not only was Chuck a star football player, but he was also a stellar person--warm, friendly, unpretentious; he had a wonderful sense of humor and a polite manner. Everybody he knew considered him a friend. I remember sitting in front of him in Mr. Shirley's World History class--always an interesting class period. My sincere sympathies to Chuck's family. He will always be with you in your memories and in...

My sincere sympathy to all the Marks family. They were always so caring, helpful and gracious to me. Chuck and I were football teammates at James Wood. He will be missed by many.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Chuck's passing. He was a wonderful person and I am blessed to have known him. Our friendship began when we were teenagers and neighbors in Middletown, Virginia and I recall those times fondly. May your memories of him comfort and sustain you. With heartfelt sympathy,

I attended James Wood High School, with Chuck, where he was the star of our Football Team. We both spent our teen years growing up in the small town of Middletown, VA. So sorry for your loss.

Please accept my condolences on Chuck's passing. Hadn't seen him since the mid-70's, but he was one of those individuals who you don't forget. As one of his Brother Rats from VMI, he will be missed.
