Charles Patrick Halloran

I was saddens to learn Chuck had passed. I was fortunate to have met him during a journalism class at UT. In that one semester as a graduate student it was immediately evdident that Chuck was a man of character and imparted upon others the value of ethics not only in journalism but in everyday life. Thank you Chuck for being there for all the students that you taught and I am confident that they all have fond memories of you as well.

Those of us who knew Chuck will miss his integrity, particularly in comparison to those who worked with and around him who took credit for research, scholarship and writing that Chuck actually performed. But to those whose careers were elevated by his work, should be especially grateful for Chuck's contributions to the field.

I will always have fond memories of my conversations with Chuck about things ranging from journaism to jazz to politics to food to race. Chuck's loyalty, integrity and passion will bw forever missed.
