Not sure what to say?

I miss you, Papa. It’s been a year without my best friend. I wish I could tell you everything that’s happened. I love you.

Mr. Hammock was so sweet. When he learned that my son was going into the Marines, he brought me a hat to give him and he never stopped asking about him. He was so proud of him, although they had never met. Mr. Hammock had a beautiful spirit and he will be greatly missed.

The Final Salute

Brothers and Sisters in Arms, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged Hand Salutes as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This Hand Salute is the last that we shall render to Charles Hyatt Hammock, Sr. our Brother-in-Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Charles. And to Charles it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him...

Rest In Peace my cousin. You were always so enjoyable to be around. My memories of you date way back to my childhood all the way to just a few years back.

We live just 2 houses down on Williams Way. Mr. Charles was always willing to help in anyway if someone needed it.
We lost his other longtime friend last year in Charles Stanley who lived directly across the street. Going to miss both these gentle giants.

I remember one time him and little charles discussing a windshield for a side by side. Very entertaining. He was an interesting fellow. He will be missed.

Mr. Hammock was such a nice man. I will miss hearing his deep voice.
