Not sure what to say?

Ellen--
I was just talking about Leo and Ellen Hargrave tonite to a friend...telling him all about the WONDERFUL time we had at your ranch..the flight that Leo took us on...and googled Hargraves---only to find this very very SAD news. I will always have the wonderful memories of spending a week at the 'ranch'. All Leo's spectacular stories are still with me! Love to you Miss Ellie!

Ellen, family and friends,

I am so sorry Leo is gone. He will truly be missed. He will also be with my mother, Betty Montgomery and my father, Donald Montgomery. They were friends for many, many years. There are so many memories I have from Colorado and Montana. I remember a visit when my dad and Leo flew his plane to pick me up in I believe Portland Oregon to take me to the ranch. They received transmission from an airport to land and refuel but, landed at the wrong airport. ...

Didn't know him, but I love the obit - what a guy! We have family who grew up at Laclede so that's what caught my eye. Thanks for sharing the story of his life

God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December, so Miss Ellie...looks like you'll be gettin' lots of "roses" every year! Leo will be greatly missed...his unique sense of humor, his quick grin, the twinkle in his eye when he put one over on you...Well, Sweet Cheeks...I guess you're up there working the Big Ranch now...keep the dogies homeward bound! With love and gratitude for the honor of sharing my life with Leo and Ellen!

Ellen and family,

I am so sorry for your loss.

Walter and I got acquainted with you and Leo when you bought the farm at Wamego from Edwin Martin and Walter.

It was a pleasure getting to know you and we have thought about you both a lot since.

Sincerely,

Joan Clark
