Chuck was born to Jim and Mary Hawkins in Carmel, CA. In Aug. 1950 Chuck arrived in Ninilchik, Alaska with his mother, father and younger brother. Within a year Ninilchik became Chuck's home. By 1953 Chuck's father and mother had established a homestead at Mile 126 of the Sterling Hwy. Chuck...

Not sure what to say?

Chuck was a good friend, a hunting partner and a Rugby player. I will miss him very much.

Ill miss you Chuck. Will keep the good memories of our laughs.

The "Hawk" was a great American and a fine dirt soldier. He didn't ask a soldier to do anything, he wouldn't do first. He always led from the front. He was a good friend and will be dearly missed.
P.H. Glise, Snohomish, WA

Chuck Hawkins devoted his life to his country. A superior soldier and friend.

Chuck was the backbone and leader of the Youth Group at the United Methodist Church of St. Peter the Fisherman in Ninilchik. He would have succeeded at anything he agreed to do. Interesting to learn of his continued connection to Ninilchik. My condolences to his extended family.

This is the first that I have heard of Chuck since 1984. My condolences and prayers to his family. Chuck was our S-3 in 1/121IN GAARNG during our train-up and rotation to the NTC in 1983. After that he departed for Virginia. That's when I lost contact. I was a 1LT and Company XO during that time and Chuck had a big influence on me. I never forgot him. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

RIP, my Friend

We will miss you Chuck. Prayers for the family.

Chuck was a throwback, a true American hero who gave more than most will ever know.
