Frye Chapel & Mortuary of Blythe - Blythe Obituary

Charles Clifford Hayes III, beloved son of Cliff and Linda, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 65. Clifford was born on October 27, 1959, in Stuttgart, Germany, but returned to Blythe, California as an infant with his parents where he spent most of his young life enjoying various outdoor activities with family and friends.

A graduate of Palo Verde High School, Clifford went on to serve in the United States Navy for a brief period before returning to his roots in Blythe. He followed in his father’s footsteps and gravitated towards auto mechanics as a vocation. His ingenuity, talent and passion for fixing and creating things extended to many areas of his life, earning him much admiration from friends and family.

Clifford appreciated nature, animals, and the peaceful solitude the desert, river and valley provided. He found joy in the simple things in life, and found great comfort in playing his guitar and creating music. His quiet, thoughtful presence will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by two daughters, Charity and Faith, granddaughter Ruby, his brother Joe, his sister Carol, nephew Ned (Chelsea) and great niece Alyssa. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his legacy of creativity, compassion, and love for life will live on in those who were fortunate to know him.

Graveside services will be held for Clifford at Palo Verde Cemetery on February 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.

Not sure what to say?

Condolences to the Hayes family. Rest in peace Clifford.

I’m sorry for your loss our prayers are with you. He was a good friend and neighbor.

RIP Clifford

Cliff and his family were our neighbors in Baltzburg and we spent a lot of fun days of summer in the neighborhood. He was a good person. I want to send my condolences to the Hayes family.

Clifford was a sweet, little boy I had in second grade at Margaret White School my 2nd year of teaching. He did well in school and was quiet but had many friends. He was all little boy. His Mom was delightful and was proud of his accomplishments. So sorry to hear of his passing. Jesus will have open arms.
