Charles Lawrence Henly, loving son of Terence Henly and Isabelle d'Abadie de Lurbe, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 from complications related to kidney disease. Charles had recently celebrated his 22nd Birthday. Born November 7, 1989 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Charles attended Midtown Academy Middle School, class of 2004 and later, Baltimore City College, class of 2008. He continued his secondary education at Coppin State College and was a proud graduate of TESS College of Technology, class 2011. Recently, he begasn working alongside his mother at Gilman School in their afterschool program. A lover of life, great food and even greater friends, he spent his first check proudly treating his mother to dinner as one of her new colleagues. He was scheduled to start an electrician apprenticeship in June. Despite his short life. Charles touched the live of many. He was well-known for his calming manner, open spirit and great sense of humor. He spent all his free time and most of his nights with his Posse of diverse, original, free thinking, of different religions, backgrounds and lifestyles. His insight into various cultures and cuisine was a testament to the travels and experiences his family made a priorty in his life. He was always a respectful and loyal person. He enjoyed playing tennis, basketball and chess, as well as, listening t9o a variety of music and was a big Ravens fan. He was known to throw good parties. His 18th bithday bash was an event to remember. Charles is preceded in death by his grandparents, Renee and Charlemagene d'Abadie de Lurbe and Lawrence Henly, godmother, Carita Jones and aunt Charlotte d'Abadie de Lurbe. He leaves to mourn his parents, Isabelle d'Abadie de Lurbe and Terence Henly (Crystal); grandmother, Ethel Henly; one brother, Bryant; two sisters, Brittany and Tiffani, three uncles, Roland, Anthony and Lawrence; two aunts, Deanielle and Adrienne and a host of family and friends.
