Not sure what to say?

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this extraordinarily difficult time. Your father was a well respected and loved man.

Charlie was one of the finest men I have ever known. We will surely miss his wit, charm, good nature, laughter and smile and especially the nicknames he would come up with for all his friends. . . bovine fish.

Charlie was a high school classmate at Washington High. I remember him fondly at the 50 year anniversary of the school. We had him ride in a vintage car in our little parade. He will be missed, God bless him and hold him.

To all the members of Charlie's family:
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Charlie was a very kind and giving person to all. He will be missed.

What can I even say what I feel in my heart for Cha Cha. He was larger than life! No words can ever explain him. He impacted so many people with his love of life, he was God's gift to us and we know it !! What a beautiful man with a beautiful heart filled with love and laughter. Please don't ever stop learning from him, he taught us so much and we didn't even realize it. What a gift from God he was. Thank you Lord for the gift of this man.

My prayers go out to his family during this time. I remember Charlie from High School and how proud I was while watching him compete in the 1968 Olympics. He was such a kind person - he will be missed.

May the angels lead thee into Paradise: may the Martyrs receive thee at thy coming, and take thee to Jerusalem the holy city. May the choirs of the Angels receive thee and mayest thou have rest everlasting with the once poor Lazarus. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. A message of condolence from Matt Mulligan, on behalf of the Doc-IU Masters and all Indiana...

My condolences to the Hickcox family for their loss. Charlie was one of the most memorable mainstays in our basketball group at the Scottsdale YMCA, and later the JCC, for nearly twenty years. He never made a secret of his devout faith, or of his patriotism. He often expressed heartfelt pride about his son's military service overseas. I remember when he brought his Olympic medals to show to the youngsters at the YMCA and teach them something about achieving one's dreams. He was a tough...

We am so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
