Not sure what to say?

I remember him from when I was a child. He always kept butterscotch hard candies in his suit jacket to give the kids in the congregation. I remember his stirring sermons while at Duncanville Church of Christ. Wonderful messenger for Christ. RIP.

I met Charles back in late 1988 at the Berchtesgaden retreat; it was a meeting of all the churches of christ in Europe, I was in the 8th Grade, but I remember every sermon, training class, and engagement with Charles--he had a huge impact on me. We reconnected serval years before this event. Rest well Hodge!

i just ran across this, Charles was a mentor to me at Rosemont, sharing many laughs. He was a blessing to all of us...

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Well I know Vera and Dave Beckham are rejoicing greeting Charles into Heaven. I count Charles as one of God’s blessings to me. He guided me into a walk with Jesus. He blessed many.

Charles was a special person. He made you feel loved and loved to preach. He holds a special place in my heart.

So sorry for your loss! I have great memories of listening to his preaching while growing up at Rosemont.

We are sorry for your loss.
