While competing athletically for Taunton High, I tried to build up a dislike for everything Coyle; once I met Charlie and Billy, that was impossible. They played hard and were gentlemen. More recently, Charlie broke my heart on the golf course with his clutch putting. With Charlie as my dentist, I actually looked forward to going to his High St. practice and enjoying his sense of humor.
