Not sure what to say?

My name is Brian Castronovo, Trinity´71. Very sorry to hear of Gray´s passing. A fond memory I´d like to share underscores his amiability and joyous spirit. I was two years ahead of him at Trinity. I was studying in the library one snowy evening for a final exam while he, Dirk Wybenga, and Mark (? ) were out having a good time. They came by to visit and tried to coax me into joining them at some social gathering. I remember thinking how handsome Gray looked that day with that big smile of...

This was a truly fine and wonderful man that i knew my entire life since our mothers were best friends from their childhood. He always was happy and happy to see another and made you feel like you were the only person in the room. I am so sorry that his time has ended. My love to all his family. Calvert Bowie

My condolences to Gray´s family.

I´m so sorry to hear about Gray´s passing. He was a close friend during our Landon years. His black Impala with "3 on the tree" stopped by my house every morning to take me to school. We listened to WOL religiously to get pumped for another day at boot camp. I loved Gray´s laid back demeanor and he was a salve amidst the competitive atmosphere of our beloved school. I´ll always remember him.

My heart goes out to Gray's family, and to all of us who were lucky enough to know him as a classmate and friend. He enriched all our lives.

Gray was an upper class man (1 Year ahead of me) who, for some reason that I will never be able to explain, I always shared a strong connection with. When ever our paths would cross over the years, it was always a joyful reunion. I guess that's just who he was. I was taken aback and truly saddened to hear of his passing. He had the greatest smile and always the kindest words. Missed out on the chef's culinary skills. Will truly miss him. - Griff '70

Gray was my closest friend at Landon. He was kind, when I needed a bit of friendship and kindness, smart, fun-loving and a really good athlete, especially in baseball, where he starred at third base on the Landon varsity. He loved music, and we spent many a great night at the Howard Theatre. We hadn´t been in touch much the last 15 years or so , but I am truly saddened by his passing. I will never forget his friendship. Sincerest condolences go out to his family. He was flat out a great guy.

Love to all the Hurds. Gray is missed so much, but we are so lucky to have had a friend as fun and special as he was.
