I have nothing but fond memories of Charlie along with Betty and Sally. Of all my dad´s relatives I always looked forward to visits with Charlie´s family. I got some haircuts in the basement. I think what stands out was his eyes. They were so kind. He always made me feel like he cared about how I was feeling. In addition as a 5 year old boy I always felt that he bore a striking resemblance to the beloved mascot "Mr. Clean". I had seen the character on products and felt that he "WAS"...

I was hired as a security guard at the Westgate Mall after the fire in 1977. Chuck was the maintenance supervisor and we had many conversations on many topics over the four years I worked there. He was a truly nice and genuine man. My condolences to his family. I am sure he will be missed.
