Not sure what to say?

I was sad to read about Charlie's death in the Susquehanna Magazine. He was a good and faithful friend with kindness at his core. My sympathies and prayers go out to his family and his partner.

~~ Charlie, I'll never forget your living room wallpaper!!~~

Charlie was a very good friend of mine while attending Susquehanna University. We enjoyed many adventures together and the house on the Isle of Que was sometimes a refuge from campus life for both of us. Charlie was one of the most genuine people I have ever known, always supportive, and the best of friends. I offer my deepest sympathy to all his family, and I will miss him very very much.

Charlie, Although you are never far away in our thoughts, you are especially remembered this time of year on your birthday, February 25. I came across a birthday card that you sent to me in 2002. The note you wrote inside brought both a smile and a tear to my face. Inside the card was a nice poem by Helen Steiner Rice, and I would like to send this poem your way on your birthday:

Just For You On Your Birthday
There are some that we meet in passing
And forget them...

Charlie was a very special person. I feel very blessed to have known him. He was the kind of person who always made you feel wonderful. I will always remember every time I talked to him on the phone he would start out with "Hello Beautiful!!" You couldn't help but feel great after speaking with him. Charlie was always full of energy and excitment. He was caring loving and very compassionate. Meeting the Janaskie family for the first time I see where Charlie got his compassion from, they are...

I feel very blessed to have had Charlie as a friend for the past 32 years. He lent support through every crisis in my life. Charlie was such a wonderful, caring, considerate, accepting person. I know he will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.

OUR CHARLIE

Charlie was our nephew,we loved him very much. When he walked into a room it was like magic, everyone would immediately be having a party. He was a light in our lives that will glow forever. All our memories of him are happy ones. He had a great gift of listening to everything you were saying. He really loved people.

We miss him very much and he will always be in our memories.

Love Aunt Angie & Uncle Ray

I am greatly saddened to learn of Charles's untimely death. I was his seventh grade teacher. Even back then, Charles was an exceptional young man with a wonderful smile and a penchant for blushing.

In reading this guest book, I see that he grew up to be an extraordinary man, loved by all who knew him.

Now Charlie can intercede for all of us, who are still struggling on our way home.

Charlie was such a remarkable person and cousin. I can remember the fun gatherings at the cottage. I remember how Charlie would push the younger kids on the tire swing. If my memory serves me correctly, I think he even got Aunt Edith on that swing for the thrill of her life.

I also remember when Charlie showed up at a family reunion at Knoebels in his Miata. Without giving it a second thought, he handed his keys over to anyone who wanted to take it out for a spin. It delighted...

There are those very special times in one's life that you hold so dear, the memories are etched that, no matter what, you cannot forget.
But sometimes the simple things that happen will be most remembered, especially the way Charlie greeted his "GOOD OLD AUNT EDITH". We will truly MISS you!
