Charles H. Johnson Jr.

Being born and raised in Glassboro, Elite Bakery was a big part of my life. To me, it was the only bakery in the world. My father would often surprise us with boxes of goodies from Elite. The Cinnamon Buns were amazing! The Cheesecake, delightful! the cheese filled pastries, extraordinary! The jelly and cream donuts, out-of-this-world! I could go on and on. There was nothing that we did not LOVE from Elite Bakery. Of course as a child, these amazing baked goodies just magically appeared...

Mr. Johnson and his wife will forever be remembered by thousands of people who ever ate something from their Bakery in Glassboro. Their Bakery products are still discussed and missed, to this day, by anyone whoever tasted their baked goods. I hope the family knows this, and I hope it brings them comfort!

I remember Charles as a good friend to everyone at Glassboro High School those many years ago. Condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

Charlie Johnson will go down In history as a truly Great Man!. I viewed this with admiration from afar as an extended part of the family.. Above all he was a wonderful family man with upstanding morals. Charlie is at peace now, god bless him and his family, June, Debbie, and Karen.
