Charles Johnston

I have fond memories of the Johnston family as Lynn and I had a close friendship while at Ole Miss in Oxford which continued throughout dental school in Jackson. Seeing his obituary conjured many treasured memories. I was out of town and did not know about his death and am sorry I was not able to go to Tupelo to attend the visitation. Joyce, Greg and other family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know Charles had been ill for a long time, but it is never easy to say goodbye to those we love! Hard to imagine that he was 92 years old. Ellen shared that he was still requesting songs when they went out to sing. He was always so nice to me, even when I was young and hanging around the office so much. I am sure I bothered many people hanging out up there so much. Know he and his beautiful daughter and Mom are up there...

Greg, i am sorry for your loss. Your Mom and Dad were always so kind to me. Kim and I are thinking of you during this time.

Mr. Johnston was a very good man and I always admired both he and Mrs. Johnston. Growing up with their children, Greg and Lynn, I visited them often. He made the Tupelo community a better place.
