I did not know Charlie had passed. Reading some of the the Condolences brought back many Memories of this Great Man. A great mentor to the community youth of Brawley. Charlie was like a second father to me. He treated me like I was one of his sons. I worked for him at Mel's liquor store at the age of 13 til my senior year of high school. He took us camping , golfing, fishing and many more other places. Charlie was a blessing to us and I will never forget the good times we had at the liquor store. Whenever you ran into Charlie he would have a large smile on his face and you just had to smile back. A truly outstanding personality and a friend to all. A huge loss for the community of Brawley. Condolences to the family.
