Not sure what to say?

Dear Kahlig family , I am sorry to hear about Charles. I have known him for 15-20 years as he was one of my customers. Through the years we often hung out and talked about all kinds of things like sports and our childhoods. I really enjoyed those conversations. He is a great man and will be missed. May the Lord walk with you. Billy Womack

Dear Pat and Family,

Because of life's circumstances and geographic distance I, unfortunately, didn't know my cousin Charles, (who was 2 years older than me), very well. That is my definite LOSS, (i.e., one, actually, which I will forever regret), because every single person in our entire Extended Family has had only *G*O*O*D* things to say about Charles.

They've also often recounted either a specific kind ACT that Charles DID for them; or simply the...

Bryan,

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. My prayers are with you and Maria and all of your family. I will offer Mass for him tomorrow.

In Christ,

Dear Pat and Family, How do you summarize a lifetime of knowing someone? I prefer to remember the good times of dancing with my cousin Charles and his brother Michael, greeting them and sister Joyce at Angelo State University, knowing that my Mom loved her cousin Hermina, and the happiness I felt when I heard that Charles' wife was Pat (Bippy) Hoelscher from the farm across from my parent's. Pat, Forrest and I send you all our greetings and prayers for Charles and all of you. Love from Joan...

Bryan,
I did not know your dad very well but have heard many great things about him. I know this must be very hard for you and Maria and all of you are in my prayers.

I was fortunate to work with Charles at ACC. We each enjoyed having a Texas Panhandle native to talk to, and we found that we knew a lot of the same people in Amarillo. Of all the conversations that we had while we were both at ACC, I can't recall a single one in which he didn't mention his wife and sons. He was so proud of his family, and it showed in his eyes when he spoke of them. The world has lost a wonderful man.

I am going to really miss Charles. I have known him for 18 years. Every year when he came to calibrate our machines I would get "stuck" with him after hours until he had everything just right. We probably would have been out sooner had the conversations not turned to family... We would compare notes on our kids... he loved his family. He was one of the best and will be missed.

Charles was a man with charisma. He loved life and his family. Our family was blessed to be able to reconnect with Pat and Charles in the last few months while Charles tried once more to beat the cancer with treatments at the START cancer center here in San Antonio. We celebrated his last birthday together and shared many family memories and stories during their stays with us. He will be missed greatly. I hope the family will be comforted by their memories of Charles and find peace knowing...

Greetings! Charley and I met thirty-five years ago, while we were training to be Medical Radiation Physicists at MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute where we,instantly, became lifelong friends. Never did our jobs enable us to live close to each other, but our friendship prevailed through the miles. The many highlights of my life were the conversations we would share on the phone or in person as we bantered back and forth,(always teasing each other), both about Medical Physics and our...
