Saddened to learn of Charlie's passing...I was reminiscing over the wonderful environmental science course of his I took three years ago (where Charlie introduced me to one of my favorite books...about fish!) and was suddenly curious to find out his current happenings. Great guy, larger life, and even greater legacy for an individual who carried the concepts of Tom O'connell and Berkshire Community College to fruition.
Before it was re-branded, our college's motto was;
"To Travel Hopefully Is a Better Thing Than To Arrive"....
The motto changed...
Charlie, obviously, never forgot it.

I am so sorry for the loss of one incredible human being. Nice to read that you continued to make people laugh your whole life.
