Not sure what to say?

I was honoured to have Charles and Pamela as academic friends at that wonderful little campus of Loyola, Theological Dept of Concordia University, in NDG Montreal. And I was even more privileged to have Charles as my MA Thesis advisor who was so encouraging and even suggested I publish it as a book. I can think of no better title to express how he brought the Church alive for me in his lectures than 'A Church Fully Alive' where I explored the praxis theology of community in St Irenaeus of...

Dear Charles, we have missed you. You and Pamela made a brilliant contribution not only to the scholarship of Patristics but also to the fruitful collaboration amongst Aria-Pacific scholars in the field of early Christian studies. Since I first saw him at a society as a giant of patristic scholar, I am always grateful to have known him through the commitment to the APECSS, CSPS, and NAPS. May you know the culmination of a life with Pamela.

Dear Charles, we have missed you and remembered you and Pamela at CSPS this year. May you know the fullness of life, the culmination of a life well lived.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Charles Kannengiesser. He was a brilliant scholar, one of the world's great scholars of patristics. But he was also very approachable, a kind and generous man, with a profound faith. He missed his wife Pamela dearly. I am grateful to have known him through his involvement in the Canadian Society of Patristic Studies, where he was warmly appreciated. Requiescat in pace.

We will miss Charles dearly, but are thrilled that he will be soon reunited with Pamela in Australia. We hope for their eternal peace. All of us will cherish our annual vacations in Castillon forever. Dick and Willemien, Maud and Fu Cheng, Utrecht and Chicago.

Celebrating a life well lived. Memories of you and my life-long friend, Pamela, will be cherished forever.
