I am so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. He was a friend and a colleague at the Sheriff's Office. As a new detective, I could always rely on him for sound and honest advice. To his family and friends, please accept my sincerest condolences.

I have lived out of the U.S. for the past ten months and only now learned of Chuck's passing. He and I had reconnected in the last two years for which I am very greatful. You will be remembered my friend! You helped me shine a light on some forgotten cases and it proved to be a very big light! To the end, you were the professional LAWMAN.

About 40 years ago Deputy Chuck Kennedy came into my office and said he wanted to fill the vacant position we had in ID. What a blessing it turned out for me and the department. A hard worker, dedicated to making things better for those around him, and very dependable to get the difficult tasks done with little oversight.
