Barbara,
I just saw the news of Charlie's passing and I am so sorry for your loss. I remember all the times you would come to my parents (Glenn and Mary Ann) for dinner and how he would tell stories about his passion for flying. I'm truly saddened to see this but find comfort in knowing how much he loved life, his family and how proud he was of his daughters. He was a true gem and will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Uncle Charlie was my mom's younger brother! Whenever we visited my grandparents as a kid, I always slept in his boyhood bedroom; will never forget the fascination I had in seeing some of the model airplanes he built still in perfect condition! Time and distance, through the years, prevented me from seeing him as much as I'd preferred! I loved hearing about his many interesting stories as a pilot and, even more so, when it occurred in his "cordial" presence!
