It was with sadness that I heard of Charles' passing. I well remember the wonderful readings he used to do at St. Paul's. His voice was remarkable and it was as if we were listening to an old time prophet speak.

His Bible readings at St. Paul's and his many collaborations with the Choir for many special services and Arts Foundation concert presentations were always powerful and added greatly to the experience. I can still hear his voice in that commercial, saying "Even with my heart condition, I didn't need a medical to be insured" which played on television over the course of about 10 years. I certainly enjoyed his dramatic contributions to the Bible readings during services at St Paul's.
