I know the sting of losing a loved one isn't fleeting so I just want to let Ms. Dana Canedy and Jordan know that I'm praying that God continues to comfort and guide them through this life and that the memory of their loved one 1st Sergeant Charles M. King will live joyfully in their hearts. SALUTE to the Brave and Heartful Soldier. I started watching the movie many times but only just managed to watch to the end tonight; very emotional for me but I love the lovestory of Dana and Charles....

I´m so sorry for the loss of 1SG King, I´ve watched the movie "A journal for Jordan" to help me with grieving the recent loss of my mother. This story is so impactful, I feel that anyone going through a loss can relate to it. It was amazing to see how he still managed to connect so well with his son Jordan even after his honorable death in the Army. This film has been very encouraging to me, I appreciate you Dana Canedy for taking the journal and article you wrote for 1SG King a step further...

My heart truly aches for you and your family, Charles M. King. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!! I´ve learned to get to know you and Dana through the movie, Journal for Jordan. I´m sure your replacement actors did a fantastic job bringing your hearts and personalities to life for the world to see. I was drawn to the movie because my brother too was a Sergeant in the Army and also served in Iraq. I THANK GOD he made it back home safely. I can truly see that Charles had an amazing heart....

I saw the movie and cried for Dana. But Happy for the Love they shared that brought Jordan into the world. God had a special plan. It may not have turned out in marriage and long lasting family with the 3 of you on earth together but his legacy lives on through your Love and Son. God bless you for telling your Story.
