My sympathy to you, the family of Charles. He was a loved man here at McAuley. I remember he was interested in so many things and took part in many activities. We all will miss him here. May God rest his soul in His Everlasting Arms. A friend, Myrna Weiland, Apt. 156

To all Charles´ family, we send our sincere sympathy. Charles was one of my mother´s generation whom we most enjoyed seeing and talking with at the Koehler family reunions. His deep interest in family history showed not only in the myriad of names and dates, places and events that he could relate, but also in his attentive interest in each person he spoke with. We were touched at how he remembered things about our conversation of several years back when we met again at the next reunion. ...

Her mom Jennie Koehler was older sister of his father Walter. Fig. 3. Charles' father Walter grew up in this house in Menomonee Falls, WI, the youngest of seven siblings.

I extend my sympathies to Charles's daughters and their families. I enjoyed knowing your dad at the German American book discussions. My first time attending, he wanted to know where in Germany my family was from. We met for a discussion today and received root beer candy in remembrance of Charles.

I am so sorry for your loss of your family.
