I have a metal bracelet with Petty Officer Kompaa´s name, rank, date and place of death on it. I wore it for many years. The bracelet has been tucked in the console of my car for some time. Yesterday, somehow it found its way out of there and landed behind my driver´s seat. I heard a clink when I moved my seat back and when I checked it out, there was the bracelet. I took it as a sign that he wanted to be out and about on Memorial Day, so today I am wearing it proudly and keeping him close....
